This image is the sarcophagus in the king’s chamber of the Great Pyramid at Giza.
The sarcophagus is a symbol of death and resurrection.
The death and resurrection of divine Life.
These are the Mysteries of the Father.
These mysteries were lost long ago.
And now they are returning.
This is the focus of the Avatara Level 2a: The Dark Rite.

Western culture today has no idea about the ancient Mysteries of the Father.
Since the advent of the Abrahamic religions our understanding of the divine Father is a transcendental, formless parent in the sky who is emotionally unstable, disembodied, and definitely not sexual.
The ancient Father Mysteries were completely different.
For the ancient mystery schools, the divine Father was the principle of divine Life, Seed, and Potency that existed in a state of transcendental indestructible freedom, who then gave consent to descend into the tomb of deepest matter to be the presence of divine spirit there, and in a sense, died in the process.
In all the mysteries, the phallic power of the divine Father is lost in the descent.
Osiris was dismembered by Set, and when Isis brought his pieces back together the only part she couldn’t find was the phallus, which had been eaten by a fish in the Nile.
Attis sat at the tree of life, castrated himself, and bled out.
Ouranos was castrated by Chronos, who then took power.
All of these mysteries represent the apparent ‘death’ in all of us of the seed of spirit’s power, which is sourced in its primordial freedom, in the process of incarnation. And a lesser masculine power then takes over. One that needs to control.
This is the archetypal mystery of the death of the divine Father, and the rise of the patriarchy that has run the world in the absence of the true masculine principle of Life.
It is the story of Sanat Kumara, the divine Father of the Earth itself, who resides at the core of the planet, unknown to virtually all humanity, and will stay there as the source of spirit-life for the whole world until the ‘last weary pilgrim has made their way home’.
And in the mundane world, it is the story of so many men who become fathers, who freak out at the loss of their freedom as their child comes in, and who deeply struggle not to leave.
The path of the Father principle requires us to remember the divine power that doesn’t require us to leave embodiment in deepest matter but is innate in our core.
So that we can be a source of Life in the world of embodiment to those around us without needing to leave it.
This requires the full consent to descent, trusting that we can never lose that which is true in our core, and that eventually, we will resurrect.
DK tells us that one of the keynotes of the coming global Aquarian spirituality will be resurrection, and resurrection is the culmination of the Father mysteries.
This resurrection is the return of the phallus, in all of us.
It is the re-balling of Attis and Ouranos.
It is the raising of the Djed Pillar in Ancient Egypt - the spine of Osiris that the Egyptians understood was where the body creates sem€n - which represents the return of true power in the world.
It is the return of the divine Life, seed, and potency of spirit in the core of our being while in the body, in relationship, in community, and on the Earth.
For the last 2000 years, humanity lost the Mysteries of the Father.
This is symbolised by the phallus of Osiris having been lost in the Nile, eaten by a fish – the symbol of Pisces.
The symbol for Aquarius, the age we are just entering, is that of a man emptying out a vase of water – the waters of Life.
Those waters contain the phallic power of Osiris, and this time is one where the Father Mysteries will start to return.
The Dark Rite is dedicated to this.
